Shape: Oval, tapering to the back
Colour: Cream with very dark bands of hair
Antennae: Not visible
Distinguishing features: Similar to Anthrenus carpet beetle larvae, but longer and with darker bands and wispy hairs at the back.
It is difficult to differentiate between Trogoderma, Reesa and Anthrenocerus larvae.
Larvae are pests of: Fur and skin. They will also attack some herbarium specimens. They are uncommon in the UK, but have been found in London, Cambridge and Edinburgh
